What Sunshine Man smells like
Boozy orange first. Amouage call the note orange brandy, and that is exactly it: bright, sweet and a little warm, like the first sip of something strong.
Lavender and clary sage sit right on top of it, so it reads herbal and clean rather than sugary. Immortelle adds a dry, hay-like warmth.
Then it settles into vanilla, tonka and cedar. Creamy, soft and very wearable.
It is a barbershop scent that has had a drink. Reviewers compare it most to Caron Pour Un Homme and Kilian Straight to Heaven. A few find the opening a touch medicinal. Most call it sunny, warm and retro in a good way.
Amouage launched it in 2015 and credit perfumers Pierre Negrin and Fabrice Pellegrin.

Is Sunshine Man discontinued?
Amouage have not said so publicly. What we can say is what the shelves show. On 30 September 2026 there was no full-size page for it on Amouage's UK site, Selfridges had it out of stock, and Harrods, Harvey Nichols, Liberty, John Lewis and Fenwick did not list it at all. The only way to buy it new from Amouage was the 2 x 10ml men's duo.
So whether it is gone or just resting, it is hard to get.

Who it suits and when to wear it
Men who like lavender scents but want something warmer and sweeter than a fougere. It is at its best in autumn and winter, and in the evening.
