Where Matière Première is strong
This is not a brand we are going to talk down. They are the real thing.
- They disclose their numbers. Their own site states 20-25% aromatic extracts for Eau de Parfum and 25-30% for Extrait. Almost nobody else in fragrance does that. Most houses just print Eau de Parfum and leave you guessing.
- 85 to 92% ingredients of natural origin, stated on their own collection pages. We do not match that and we are not going to pretend we do.
- The perfumer grows his own raw materials. Aurélien Guichard cultivates rose, tuberose and lavandin on land in the Grasse region. Their vanilla is Fair for Life certified from Madagascar.
- Made in France, vegan, cruelty free, no phthalates or colourants.
- Their stated wear time is 8 to 12 hours for the Eau de Parfum, which is higher than our guaranteed number.
