Maison Crivelli launched Santal Volcanique in 2018, an Eau de Parfum made with perfumer Richard Ibanez. At Harrods it is £190 for 100ml. Santal Crater is Aromara's take on it, and it is in stock now. A full 50ml, 35% Extrait, £40.
Maison Crivelli tell it as sandalwood scorched on the slopes of an erupting volcano. Fresh spice opens it: ginger, cardamom and a bright twist of lime. Then dry sandalwood and cedar, with ylang-ylang and a dark seam of coffee, settling on soft musks.
