Reef Perfumes: The Saudi Fragrance House That Numbers Its Scents

2 min read Aug 7, 2026

Reef Perfumes calls its bestseller 33. No myth, no château, just a number on the bottle.

The house comes from Riyadh. Its controlling family, three brothers named Almajed, list addresses in the city's Al Sahafa district on official UK filings. At home it is a mainstream Saudi name, stocked by major Gulf beauty retailers and sold through its own stores and site, which promises delivery within three hours in major Saudi cities and 48 hours across the GCC.

The naming system is the house style. Alongside scents named for Saudi places such as AlUla and Diriyah, the core line is numbered. Parfumo's directory lists Reef 15, 19, 21, 29, 31, 33 and 36, among others. The star is Reef 33, an eau de parfum released in 2020 and worn, per Fragrantica, by women and men alike. The house's own product page bills it as the bestseller.

Reef describes its craft simply: fragrance oils from long-standing suppliers, blended for strength. Its own FAQ promises long-lasting performance and heavy sillage. Strength first, story second.

Now the expansion receipt. A company called Reef Perfumes Ltd sits on the UK's Companies House register, with control by the three Riyadh brothers notified in December 2023. The paperwork points one way: the Gulf house is putting a foot into Britain.

The honest part is what a number does to a perfume. With no legend attached, the scent has nothing to hide behind. Either 33 works on your skin or it does not. After years of houses selling châteaux, kings and moons, there is something clean about that.

Reef No. 33 is our take on Reef 33, made in the UK at 35% extrait so the strength matches the Gulf habit. It sits in our Reef collection.
