What Ébène Fumé smells like
The name says wood, but this is a smoke scent first. Incense, palo santo and black pepper open it, then cade oil, a tarry campfire smoke, sits on leather and labdanum in the heart, with resins and guaiac wood holding the base. It is dark, dry and quietly aggressive. It projects hard for the first hour, then settles close to the skin, which is why most people wear it in the evening. Unisex, and firmly a cold-weather scent.
